South Korea is aiming at producing 12GW offshore energy by 2030.
Danish developers are strongly positioned and are looking into playing a dominant role in the market. At the same time, the new South Korean government is keen on rolling out projects at fast speed both for bottom fixed installation and for floating.
South Korea has strengths in steel fabrication, cables and ship building meaning that opportunities for partnerships exist within a long range of the supply chain such as turbine components, blades, operational services, project development, offshore logistics, training etc.
The Confederation of Danish Industry, DWEA and Trade Council therefore invite you to realize the momentum at the South Korea off shore wind market, and to meet with strongly positioned Danish developers on site for further cooperation and sub-supply deliveries.
This visit will give you comprehensive insight and exposure to the South Korean offshore wind market, individual B2B meetings and a high-level seminar.
By participating in this delegation, you will gain knowledge on the current status of offshore wind energy projects and policies in South Korea and meet representatives from the strong local supply chain (in steel, shipbuilding and cables) in South Korea. Furthermore, the Danish Embassy will, in collaboration with Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) – a state-funded trade and investment promotion organization – arrange B2B meetings with South Korean EPC companies, vendors producing turbine parts, OEM and O&M-companies. Why join?
Who should join? Danish Turbine OEM, O&M and engineering companies within fields as turbine blades, turbine-related operation, maintenance and service activities, including supply of spares and technical expertise, and technical, management, professional R&D services and safety. Software and IT services. For detailed program clic at "Sign up" and you will enter The Confederation of Danish Industry's webpage .
