By the end of 2019 Portugal has installed 5,4 GW of wind power capacity, which covers 24% of the total electricity consumption. The Portuguese government have set the goal, that 30% of electricity consumption in 2030 should be covered by wind power.
App. 3.5 GW of wind power was installed between 2005 and 2012. That opens new possibilities within life maintenance and retrofit of aging wind farms. DWEA in co-operation with the Danish Embassy in Lisbon are pleased to invite Danish suppliers to present their solutions and share their experience with Portuguese park owners, utilities, independent service providers and OEM’s.
STEP 1 – On-line introduction
1st of February 2021 – duration approx. 1-1.5 hour
- Online introduction to the Portuguese wind power market current status and outlook presented by the Portuguese Renewable Electricity Association (TENT) (tbc) and the Danish Embassy in Lisbon.
- Short introduction to the key companies participating in the Virtual Seminar their operations, focus areas and solution requirements within service and lifetime maintenance.
STEP 2 – Virtual seminar with BtB meetings
3rd and 4th of February – duration app. 1-1,5 hour/day plus BtB meetings
During two-days seminar you will have a chance to meet the key players within Portuguese service and retrofit market, which will give you and overview over their challenges and focus areas. You will also have the possibility to network and present your value proposition during BtB meetings with key speakers and other invited Portuguese companies.

EDP Renewables
EDPR is the fourth largest wind energy producer in the world.
Globally the company operates 11.5 GW of renewable capacity installed –1164 MW in Portugal (wind and solar).
In the wind sector, EDPR produces, develops, builds and operates onshore and offshore wind farms.
The company been operating in the sector for more than 12 years and is currently present in 14 international markets (Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the UK, US and Colombia).
Finerge
Finerge is Portugal’s second-largest renewable energy producer, operating 53 Wind Farms located in 46 Municipalities across Portugal, and 3 provinces in Spain.
The capacity of the wind farms in Portugal is approx. 1,065.1 MW.
TrustEnergy
TrustEnergy is the fourth largest player in the wind segment in Portugal. They manage 12 wind farms with a total capacity of 489 MW.
TrustEnergy is a joint venture with 50/50 ownership between ENGIE and Marubeni. TrustEnergy fully owns TrustWind responsible for managing the wind power assets.

Generg Group was founded in 1988.
Generg has 11 wind farms in the mainland of Portugal, which in total have a capacity of 436.4 MW.
