About the market
Norway has extensive experience in CO₂ management and has been storing CO₂ from gas production at the Sleipner field since 1996, with a capacity of up to 1 million tons of CO₂ annually. The country has ambitious plans for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), with government support for technology development and the implementation of CO₂ management as a key international climate initiative.
The national Longship CCS project, Europe’s first complete value chain for capturing, transporting, and storing CO₂ from industry, is expected to be operational by 2025. Additionally, six areas on the Norwegian continental shelf have been designated for CO₂ storage, creating new market opportunities.
Danish companies can contribute with innovative CCUS solutions, Power-to-X, green hydrogen, and energy efficiency technologies to support Norway’s need for scalable solutions. Norwegian stakeholders are likely to seek partners with expertise in digitalization, certification, and optimization of the CO₂ value chain. With strong cleantech experience, Denmark is well-positioned to play a central role in Norway’s green transition.
Who Should Join?
This event is perfect for companies specializing in green technologies, CCUS, carbon capture, clean energy solutions, Power-to-X, and sustainable fuels. Whether you are already active in the energy sector or transitioning to cleaner technologies, this delegation offers the insights and connections you need to expand your footprint in the Norwegian market.
