Japan continues to show its belief in offshore wind as a key technology in securing its energy supply. The country has an offshore wind target of 10GW approved by 2030, where approximately 4.5GW of projects will have been auctioned off by July this year after round 3 auction results are announced. Round 2 auction results from December, 2023 showed early CODs (2028-29), strike prices at the minimum FIP and first international developers (RWE & Iberdrola) in winning consortiums. The market is now looking to round 3 auction results, which will be a main topic for Global Offshore Wind Summit Japan taking place 3-4 September. Finally, takeaways from the recent Floating Offshore Wind Technology Research Association visit to Denmark will also be presented.
Danish Energy Export and the Embassy of Denmark in Japan invite you to this webinar with the latest insight on the market and insight on concrete commercial opportunities.
