The US wind market
11 % af energien i USA kommer fra vedvarende energikilder. Der er derfor et stort potentiale for leverandører til sektorerne indenfor grøn energi. Vind er i USA den hurtigst voksende vedvarende energikilde og står for 21 % af den totale vedvarende energi. Vind bidrager dog kun med 2,4 % af den totale energi, der bruges i USA. Der er derfor mange udviklingsmuligheder for vind i USA. Der er i øjeblikket installeret 98 GW vindkapacitet i USA, men det er estimeret at onshore vind i USA har teknisk potentiale til at generere 10.955 GW. Samtidig har offshore vind teknisk potentiale til at generere 2.000 GW elektricitet inden 2050.
